Got Stones?🪨 Got Bones?🦴 Bring ’Em In!
Have a mysterious rock, arrowhead, fossil, or artifact tucked away at home? Bring it to the Stones & Bones event being held in Coronation, AB on Saturday, August 9! Experts will be on hand to take a look, answer questions, and help you learn more about your item. Whether it’s from a family farm, a backfield find, or something you picked up on a hike, we’d love to see what you’ve discovered. No judgment—just curiosity, conversation, and community! Who knows? Your find might help add another piece of information to Alberta’s ancient past.
Enjoy interactive displays and kid-friendly activities that explore Alberta’s fascinating precontact and postcontact heritage. And don’t miss a special talk at 2:00 PM in the Coronation School Gym by Dr. Shawn Bubel, a professor at the University of Lethbridge, who will share insights into Alberta archaeology.

Representatives will be on hand from ASA Edmonton Centre, Bodo Archaeological Society, ASA Lethbridge, ASA Provincial, and special guests from the Royal Alberta Museum.
